You write software that runs onboard our drones. You will be involved in every part of the system and lifecycle, from conception to deployment. We need someone who's excited about owning problems end-to-end rather than waiting for a spec.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain software for flight behavior, data collection, telemetry, and autonomy
• Work on communication between drones and cloud infrastructure
• Debug issues on deployed hardware, often remotely, with limited information
• Coordinate firmware updates and fleet rollouts for drone operations
• Develop sensor firmware so our customers get accurate and reliable data
• Whatever is necessary: if something needs to happen, you do it

What you'll ship in the first 3 months

• Build reliable embedded firmware
• Co-design the software stack for remotely operating the drone
• Spend time in the field testing the drone end-to-end

Your qualifications

• Strong programming skills (language doesn't matter, but we mostly use C++, Python, Bash)
• Experience with robotics or embedded projects
• Comfortable with Linux and working close to the hardware
• Bonus: experience with ROS2, MQTT, Mender, and deep learning
